New workshop!!!

Finally after many many years of work without our own place, me and my brother will have our own workshop! For now it is still more or less a dark, empty room but we will change it to a real knifemaking workshop. I am sure that it will help us to produce more cool stuff!
The workshop issues absor all of my free time and I sorry for the delays in correspondence. I should will be able to answer pending emails this week. Please wait patiently and stay tuned for more info. The sooner we will organize the workplace, the sooner I will be able to work with another projects.
Below some pictures showing the workshop and the sorroundings. It is located in an old industrial part of my city, close to a harbour and shipyards.

Instagram -> woro_knives

I am not a big fan of social media but a few weeks ago, encouradged by one of my customers, I have joined Instagram with a nickname woro_knives. I was really surprised how fast and easy it is to put a pictures there. So if you want to see my and my brother new works faster, before I put it on my blog, you can follow me here:
Also there will be many pictures that I will not show on my blog and some giveaways for sure ;)
What is great about IG is that I am able to see which of my works you like the most. Also I found there accounts of all my favourite knifemakers and designers like Anso, Serge, Vox... and I am able to see on what they are working now for inspirations and to learn how things can be made. Cool!
Anyway I will not give up my blog as Instagram is something completely different. But I have to catch up with overdue posts here.
One more thing. In the right part of the blog you will see last pictures from my Instagram account so even if you don't have IG you will be able to see the picture.

GITD Powder! Glowing SAK!

Some time ago I got a request to make a scales for SAK with some glowing engravings. I have bought a few types of glowing powder to check how it works as I haven't used it very often before. I was really really surprised how bright it is. Each color is different. Some can glow for 12 hours when other only for an hour. Some need to be exposed to light for an hour while other will glow after a few minutes. Green has the best parameters so after mixing with epoxy resin from West Systems(it is very transparent)  I used it to fill the engravings...

Anodized Tactical Fishes with logo

I finally made Tactical Fishes with logo engraved. It was also an opportunity to check some new voltage anodization techniques. I made one green-violet(pink?) fish and one violet-blue. There are also standard dark blue and light blue anodized fishes.

Set of leather sheaths for TLIM knives

Fortunately I don't forget how to make sheaths ;) I have finally finished two leather sheaths for Lukasz. He wanted to have a set of two similar sheaths for his knives made by Mariusz "TLIM" Przybyłowski. I have been making these sheaths for many months... Lukasz thank you for being so patient! I hope you will like them :)
Leather was finished with Fiebing's Professional Oil Dye (Dark Brown and Black), SNO SEAL and Gum Tragacanth for edges. Shock cord is used to pull away a strap. All parts are detachable if needed. Sheath can be attached in vertical and horizontal position. There will also be a kydex holster for a firestarter like here but I will probably not make new photos.. Picture with firestarter added.
Please enjoy the pictures of beautiful Tlim knives with my sheaths, and stay tuned as I have to catch up on posts on my blog. Finally I hope to have some more free time so I should be able to answer missed emails.

Annoucement

Hello! Because of a great number of emails I get every day I need to ask you for some patience. I will for sure answer all of them, but I am doing it in my free time, after my main job. First I need to find that free time. Also I am afraid that I will need to stop taking orders for SAK scales probably for a couple of months. I need to finish some old orders and would like to focus on new projects not related with Victorinox knives. One picture of my new SAK scales logo so you would not hate me so much ;) Cheers!

Carbon

Just wanted to show you fresh delivery of Carbon Fiber sheets and fabrics I got last week. It is nicely polished and looks beautiful! Finally I have direct comparison of 1x1(plain) and 2x2(twill) carbon. Can't wait to make some scales out of it. Also I need to try if the fabric can be used to produce some leather-carbon fiber combo sheats ;)
