New packages and certificates!

Doing my works all those years I always wanted to have my own original packages and certificates for my products... now I have! In summer I upgraded the way I pack my products. Believe me, it was not easy to come up with an original idea which will also not raise the prise of items. My friend helped me to decide that fine craft paper, high quality ink, hand writing and simplicity is what we need to give you that unforgettable experience during opening your package:)
All those beautiful stamps are designed and handmade by my friend artist who also designed the certificates. So those custom stamps are really piece of art! Thank you my friend! :)
Please note that those are not prints, each package is stamped individually.
I hope that you will like the new packages and certificates as much as I do!

New packages for new items soon!

Instagram -> woro_knives

I am not a big fan of social media but a few weeks ago, encouradged by one of my customers, I have joined Instagram with a nickname woro_knives. I was really surprised how fast and easy it is to put a pictures there. So if you want to see my and my brother new works faster, before I put it on my blog, you can follow me here:
Also there will be many pictures that I will not show on my blog and some giveaways for sure ;)
What is great about IG is that I am able to see which of my works you like the most. Also I found there accounts of all my favourite knifemakers and designers like Anso, Serge, Vox... and I am able to see on what they are working now for inspirations and to learn how things can be made. Cool!
Anyway I will not give up my blog as Instagram is something completely different. But I have to catch up with overdue posts here.
One more thing. In the right part of the blog you will see last pictures from my Instagram account so even if you don't have IG you will be able to see the picture.

GITD Powder! Glowing SAK!

Some time ago I got a request to make a scales for SAK with some glowing engravings. I have bought a few types of glowing powder to check how it works as I haven't used it very often before. I was really really surprised how bright it is. Each color is different. Some can glow for 12 hours when other only for an hour. Some need to be exposed to light for an hour while other will glow after a few minutes. Green has the best parameters so after mixing with epoxy resin from West Systems(it is very transparent)  I used it to fill the engravings...

Deadclaw finish!

I came up with the idea of new finish for my works made of titanium. My brother has found a perfect name for it. We called it Deadclaw Finish because it looks like the titanium was attacked by a bunch of hungry deadclaws :) Of course itshould be possible to use this finish also for other metals and steel. It suppose to be a practical finish. You don't have to be afraid of the scratches on your scales or tool because I have already made them for you! ;) I have try the finish on Vault Opener and scales for 91mm SAK. Please enjoy the photos

A quick comparison of the Deadclaw Finish and my Badlands Finish on the right.

My 100th post!

A couple of day ago I realized that it has been 99 posts already on my blog, so this one should be special. What I will do for my 100 post?
I will bring back some memories....
It has been for me a very long journey...
I have visited my workshop last weekend and decide to make first ever pictures of my first knives. Not many people have seen it so it will be a premiere ;)
My first ever knife! Made long time ago when I was a teenager. I remember that Strider knives was my inspiration :D Made with the simplest hand tools from an old circular saw.

My second knife and first sheath... It used to look better but I am still using it and abusing in my workshop. Also made with only simple tools and circular saw. Sheath was made from some old bag. It is hard to believe but this one had been inspired by Chris Reeve Sebenza :D Anyway it is a really handy knife. The sheath looks horrible but does the job.

Few years later... One of my first customizations for Victorinox SAK. It was a time when it take me whole weekend to make one pair of scales. Beautiful pictures made by the owner :)

Another few years later... A piece of metal that was createded by one of the first calibrating cut for the plasma cutter built by my brother. It marked a new era in my knifemaking projects. It doesn't look like it based on the photo but it has been the era of  CNC machinig :)

In the end my old logo cut from a sheet of steel. Given to me by my brother as a christmas gift. I will miss that logo... This one will be hanging in the new workshop when I will finally have it...

Merry Christmas and NEW LOGO!!!

Some time ago I finally designed a logo that we will use with my brother for our works. It is just a graphical sybmol. Something between mask, knight helmet, scull, trident... The logo will be engraved. We made first attempt for engraving it in titanium on Vault opener prybars and Squirrel friction folders.
Hope you like it! :)
